Kam Weakley

Guide

Meet San Juan Expeditions guide Kam Weakley. Kam began his outdoor career as a passionate snowboarder with over 20 years of experience riding in the mountains. Taking what he learned during that time Kam had the opportunity to coach top athletes on the Junior Freeride World Tour where he applied his extensive knowledge and refined his coaching technique. When the snow melted Kam picked up a rack for the first time and found his second passion, rock climbing. Climbing for a decade, Kam has honed his technical climbing skills recreationally, ultimately deciding to pursue it professionally through the guidance and education of the AMGA. His love for the mountains and his desire to continue guiding professionally inspired Kam to settle down in the San Juan Mountains where he lives today.

Kam provides a unique perspective on outdoor recreation as he so eloquently puts it;

“Throughout my career in the mountains I have become aware that there are not too many people recreating in the outdoors that look like me, let alone working in the mountains professionally. I am proud of who I am and am excited to share that through my guiding.”
